Tuesday 18th December, 4.00 p.m. South Crofty mine, Pool silhouetted by the setting sun.  I've never known a December with so little sunshine and such a succession of dull, overcast days, so this was a welcome change.

The majority of recent photographs on the Cornwall CAM web site are taken with a Panasonic Lumix TZ1000 camera.  Another camera used is a Sony a57 DSLR with 18-250 mm lens.  Some photographs are taken with a Samsung Galaxy S9+ mobile phone camera.  The photos are reduced in resolution and in file size by JPEG compression for publishing on the Web.  Photographs on the "Archive" pages taken from 7 July 2000 to 19 December 2004 were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 990; those taken before 7 July 2000 were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 900s.  If you wish to copy any of the photographs for non-commercial purposes, please do so, but please credit Charles Winpenny as the photographer, or if they are for use on your own website, please add a link to this site.
